Puneet graduated from Bond University in 2017 where she obtained her Juris Doctor degree with Distinction. Prior to going to law school, she received a Bachelors Degree in Criminology from Simon Fraser University and gained practical legal experience by working in a boutique criminal law firm.  Puneet has always been interested in the practice of criminal law and in advocacy work.

Puneet started her articles with Sarah Leamon Law Group in July, 2018. During articling period, Puneet quickly proved herself to be an asset to the team. Puneet is diligent, dedicated and intelligent. She has a naturally empathetic and patient demeanour and is able to assist clients in an effective and kind manner. Both her oral and written advocacy skills are excellent. Puneet has used her skills to successfully defend clients in relation to a wide variety of matters, including traffic tickets and driving prohibitions. She has also handled both criminal and family law cases and has achieved excellent outcomes for her clients, who are always very happy with her attentiveness and her overall legal abilities.

Puneet was called to the bar in British Columbia on June 27, 2019. She is currently working as an Associate Lawyer with Sarah Leamon Law Group. Puneet is accepting criminal law, family law and traffic cases. As the newest Associate Lawyer at Sarah Leamon Law Group, Puneet is enthusiastic about her future and what lies ahead.

In her spare time, Puneet is passionate about giving back to her community.  She has served as a volunteer in numerous capacities, including working with the Access Pro Bono Society of British Columbia. While living abroad, Puneet stayed involved as a community volunteer by donating her spare time to the Robina Community Legal Centre and the Bond University Human Rights Clinic. Puneet currently volunteers in a mentorship role with youth at the YWCA and is deeply involved with the Women’s Association of Criminal Lawyers- B.C. These experiences fostered her enthusiasm for community togetherness, public speaking, litigation and trial advocacy.

Puneet stays active with pilates and yoga and enjoys travelling.

Puneet is fluent in Punjabi. She is pleased to help our Punjabi-speaking clients in all legal capacities.
