Bill C-23 May Have Major Implications for Canadian Travellers Hoping to Cross the Border

This bill broadens powers afforded to U.S. Border Guards, operating in pre-clearance travel areas throughout our country.  These Border Guards are U.S. citizens, working on Canadian soil and dealing with Canadian citizens.  As such, they will now have the power to carry arms, detain travellers and even strip search them at their discretion.
