Bavan Hans, J.D.

Bavan was born and raised in Surrey, British Columbia. She completed her undergraduate degree at Kwantlen Polytechnic University and went on to earn her Juris Doctor from Griffith University in Gold Coast, Australia. Her time in Australia was a memorable and formative experience that broadened her perspective and reinforced her commitment to personal and professional growth. Through this experience, she developed a deeper understanding of what defines her; she is passionate, hardworking, and dedicated to continuous learning.
Bavan has prior experience working in a law firm as a legal assistant, where she supported all stages of the litigation process. This hands-on experience reinforced the value of learning through practice and strengthened her ability to provide thoughtful and effective support to both counsel and clients. She is fluent in Punjabi and values the opportunity to communicate effectively with clients from diverse backgrounds.
Beyond her professional work, Bavan is actively involved in the community. She has volunteered with the South Asian Legal Clinic of BC, an experience that deepened her awareness of community legal issues and affirmed her commitment to accessible legal services.
Outside of the office, Bavan enjoys travelling and is always on the hunt for the best local brunch spots. She enjoys hiking with her dog, experiencing new interests such as learning golf, and exploring different cultures through local cuisine.
